Your organisation in everyone's pocket

The infoodle app extends your system to the people who need it most — staff, volunteers and community members alike. Check in to events, view schedules, search the directory and manage groups, all from a phone. Free with every plan, on iOS and Android.

What the app gives your community

The infoodle app is a free extension available to all clients. It connects your community to the information they need — without requiring everyone to log into a desktop system. People can use it as a public user or sign in with their infoodle credentials for full role-based access.

  • Event check-in and QR code scanning
  • Schedule and roster management
  • Searchable member directory
  • Group management for leaders and admins
  • Public calendar and live event management
  • Profile management and personal ID

Free with every plan

The app is included with every infoodle subscription at no extra charge — there is no per-user fee and no add-on to purchase. Once enabled by your administrator, your community can download and connect straight away.

Available on:

  • iOS — iPhone and iPad (App Store)
  • Android (Google Play)
  • Public and logged-in access modes
  • Light and dark display modes

For staff and community alike

The app is designed for everyone in your organisation — not just admin staff. Volunteers check their schedules, members search the directory, group leaders manage their groups and participants check in to events, all from their own device.

Who uses it:

  • Administrators and staff
  • Volunteers and team leaders
  • Members and congregation
  • Participants and supporters

Event check-in and QR scanning

Members can use the app to scan QR codes and check themselves and their family into events. Each person also has a personal My ID barcode that can be scanned for check-in or for borrowing library items — removing the need for printed registers or manual sign-in sheets.

Supports:

  • Self check-in for individuals and families
  • QR code scanning at the door
  • Personal barcode ID for each user
  • Library and resource item scanning

Schedules and rosters

Volunteers and team members can view their upcoming commitments, confirm or decline rostered slots, enter away dates and see who else is on the team for each event — all without needing a desktop login or a separate scheduling tool.

Volunteers can:

  • View their upcoming schedule
  • Confirm or decline rostered jobs
  • Enter availability and away dates
  • See teammates rostered for the same event

Member directory

Authorised users can search the directory to find contact details for members and colleagues — by name, address or email. Search matches the options configured in the Web. Access is controlled by role, so sensitive records stay visible only to those with the right permissions.

Search by:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Custom fields
  • Other configured options

Groups and live events

Members can view the groups they belong to. Group leaders with the right permissions can see who is in their group and add new members directly from the app. Administrators can also manage live events in real time from their phone using the Live Event Manager.

Includes:

  • My Groups — view your group memberships
  • Group admin tools for leaders
  • Live Event Manager for running events on the day
  • Public Calendar for upcoming events

Role-based access throughout

The app honours every permission and role set in infoodle. A volunteer sees their schedule. A group leader sees their group. An administrator sees what their role allows. No one can access data outside their permissions — keeping sensitive information appropriately protected.

Permissions control:

  • Directory visibility
  • Group membership access
  • Event management tools
  • Profile editing rights

Configurable for your organisation

Administrators can customise the appearance and what appears in the app for their community. Add links to web pages, PDF documents, live streams, or specific infoodle features — so the app reflects your organisation's priorities rather than a generic template.

Admins can add:

  • Links to web pages and resources
  • PDF documents
  • Live stream links
  • Custom navigation to infoodle features

Common questions
about the app

Is the app free?

Yes. The app is included with every infoodle plan at no extra charge. There is no additional cost to enable it for your organisation or your community.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The infoodle app is available on both iOS (Apple) and Android devices, downloadable from the App Store or Google Play.

Who can use the app — just staff, or everyone?

The app is designed for your whole community: staff, volunteers, members, congregation and participants. People can use certain features as a public user without logging in, or sign in with their infoodle credentials for full access based on their role.

How does the app handle privacy and access?

The app honours the roles and permissions already set in infoodle. Each person sees only what they are permitted to see: a volunteer sees their schedule, a group leader sees their group, an admin sees what their role allows. No configuration is needed beyond what you already have in place.

Can we customise what the app shows?

Yes. Administrators can configure the app to show links to web pages, PDF documents, live streams and specific infoodle features — so it reflects your organisation's needs rather than a generic layout.

Can someone request a login through the app?

Yes. If someone doesn't have an infoodle login, they can submit a request through the app. The request is reviewed by your site administrator, who approves it before access is granted.
