This month we’re delighted to bring back our long time clients, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson’s Society of Canterbury, who made a brief appearance on our blog earlier this year as part of our International Day of Charity series.
However, we wanted to continue our conversation and learn more about this amazing organisation and their experience with infoodle! Read on to find out more about the work they’ve been doing since 1962 supporting people diagnosed with MS or Parkinson’s disease and their families.
Please tell us and everyone else about your organisation
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson’s Society of Canterbury provides services and support for those with or affected by MS or Parkinson’s disease, which are life-long chronic neurological conditions. Our society employs a small, but hard-working team, who work together to deliver the best possible services to our members.
This includes specialist nurses, neurological physiotherapy services, access to our on-site gym and a variety of exercise classes and group support options including peer to peer support groups, morning teas, educational workshops and carer/spouse support groups. The Society will be 60 years old in 2022.
What was your situation like before infoodle?
Prior to seeing the light and working with infoodle we were using three separate CRM packages, one for the clinical side of our organisation, one for marketing and comms and one for financial services. This proved to be a nightmare. Having multiple data spread across different systems made it difficult to keep records up to date, we were exposed to human error, and processing took up far too much admin time. We struggled to achieve consistency with our communications and information. Reporting became a very difficult process.
How did the situation improve after implementing infoodle?
infoodle saved the day!
We have worked tirelessly to move all our data to infoodle and now that we are very close to achieving that, everything has become so much easier. All information is centralised and easily accessible for our whole team. Reporting is a breeze. Our extensive calendar is available for everyone. Having our finances integrated with Xero gives an accurate picture of membership status, gym subscriptions and donations. The ability to communicate with specific groups is fantastic so our targeted communications are much improved.
We are saving so much time by having all our information in one place. And, we have cut costs by moving to infoodle.
What infoodle features do you find particularly useful?
We find all our selected packages brilliant!
We have CRM, Events, Finance and Files currently. We have integrated with Xero and Mailchimp.
We had a long history of clinical notes that need to be added to individual files and this has now been completed.
What was your experience with the infoodle team?
The transition to infoodle has been helped by the amazing support team. They have been such a big help, responding to our many questions (some pretty dumb ones to be honest!) They have been responsive; patient and I can’t praise them enough. The online training sessions and videos are also great. We always get immediate help when we really need it.
Where can our readers find more information about you?
We had to cancel our annual street appeal in September this year. This is our major fundraising event of the year and will have a serious impact on our income.
You can view our fundraising video on You Tube or go to our website to support us.
