We are incredibly excited to bring you today’s client testimonial – the story of New Zealand’s longest running free store that fed more than 349,908 people since opening its doors in 2011! Just Zilch support about 909 people every day and give away nearly $79,000 worth of food each week.
Just Zilch have been infoodle clients for nearly three years now, and it is an honour for us to support them in the incredible work they’re carrying out in the communities of Palmerston North and beyond.
They have a team of more than 100 volunteers committed to looking after the resources, and together they have managed to remove more than 3.36 million food items from the waste stream. That’s more than 1,176 tonnes of food (at an average of 350g per item)!
They also distribute food to about 80+ non-government organisations from Otaki to Rotorua to Hastings and across to New Plymouth and everywhere in between by providing them with food on a regular basis which they, in turn, give to the people they support and help.
